Netflix's smash hit series Bridgerton is set to be celebrated in the latest Secret Cinema event.

Secret Cinema announced the news in the style of a message from the show's mysterious high society gossiper, Lady Whistledown.

"Dearest Readers, we are delighted to announce that the next Secret Cinema is none other than the delightful @NetflixUK original Bridgerton.

"Yours truly, Lady Whistledown."

The immersive ballroom experience for the racy series will open in November, taking place at a yet-to-be-revealed location in London Zone 4.

Over three hours, guests will "wine and dine with esteemed members of the Ton" in an evening of "music, mingling, and perhaps other less-refined activities".

The programme set a new streaming record for Netflix, becoming its biggest ever original series after it was viewed by a record 82 million households in 28 days.

A second series has been announced, with it set to focus on the character of Anthony Bridgerton.

It has also already been renewed for a third and fourth series.

But it's bad news for fans of breakout star Regé-Jean Page who played the Duke of Hastings as he won't be returning for another instalment.
