The Texas heiress who held a lavish “wedding of the century” for an estimated $59 million has shared a new update in their ongoing love story amid her husband's legal battle.

Madelaine Brockway married husband Jacob LaGrone in a Parisian wedding in November 2023 a few weeks before her husband was indicted on felony charges for opening fire on police, stemming from a March 2023 incident.

And on Sunday, Jan. 12, Brockway revealed on Instagram that she is expecting a child with LaGrone, who still faces a potential life sentence in jail if convicted on charges of three counts of aggravated assault on a public servant in Texas, per The Washington Post.

“18 weeks with our bean 🤍 @jacoblagrone22,” Brockway wrote alongside a pair of photos showing what appeared to be a crotcheted sex reveal cake reading "Boy or Girl?" and a second image of herself holding a pink piece of cake, signifying that she was expecting a baby girl.

Though he was tagged in the post, LaGrone was absent from the photos amid his court battle, which stemmed from a shooting that took place in March 2023.

The indictment obtained by The Washington Post claims that LaGrone, “did intentionally and knowingly threaten imminent bodily injury” to the officers and “did use or exhibit a deadly weapon during the commission of the assault, namely, a firearm.”

If convicted, LaGrone could face anywhere from less than five years to life in prison based on state law. The Washington Post reports that LaGrone was offered a plea deal of 25 years in prison by the Tarrant County district attorney's office.

PEOPLE has reached out to the The Westover Hills Police Department, The Westworth Village Police Department and LaGrone's attorney Rhett Parham for comment on the ongoing legal proceedings.
