A bride and groom had a wild time at their wedding!

Andrew and Robyn Petersen were celebrating their nuptials at the Oswald House in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, on May 25 when they learned that the Dunnikier Country Park Fayre was going on right next to their venue, according to SWNS. In addition to rides, bouncy castles, live entertainment and food, the fair featured a wrestling show.

At first, the Petersens — who have been together for 15 years — were dismayed about the event, worrying that it would dash their plans to get some gorgeous wedding photos outside.

“We were both disappointed, because we’d seen a photo of a couple outside Oswald House and it looked absolutely stunning,” Andrew said.

“On the morning of the wedding, I saw people setting up all these bouncy castles and inflatables [on the grounds] — and I thought, 'We’re never going to get that photo,' " he continued.

Robyn added, “We could see it all from our bridal suite while we were getting ready, so we were all thinking it was a nightmare."

However, the Petersens soon embraced an attitude of, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

"I think we’d both decided to make the most of the day. We’d had enough stress with planning the wedding and honeymoon," Andrew explained.

After their ceremony, the pair was enjoying drinks with their guests when a woman from the wrestling company came over to congratulate them on their marriage. “I saw her T-shirt, which had the name of the wrestling company on it, and I immediately asked if I could get in the ring," Robyn recalled.

She and her husband headed over to the ring — but the bride faced an unexpected fashion dilemma. "I realized I had no idea how to get into the ring. There were no steps, so I had to navigate this massive dress to try and get into the ring," Robyn said.

At this point, their family and friends had no idea what was going on. “We’d not told anyone, and we’d just run straight towards the ring, so we could see guests slowly but surely starting to migrate down to watch us — everybody was loving it," Robyn recounted.

Some people, including members from the wedding party, even joined the Petersens in the ring.

“The day was amazing,” Andrew said. “I had never been too fussed about having a wedding — they’re expensive and I thought the cost-to-enjoyment ratio couldn’t be that high, but I had the best time.”

"We were just laughing the whole day," Robyn added.

And it seems the Petersens' wrestling fun is not over just yet. PWR Wrestling, which hosted the event, has offered the couple a free pair of tickets to one of its upcoming shows once they return from their honeymoon in Mauritius.
