*Major spoilers for season 4 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina below!*
After facing off multiple Eldrich Terrors, it was time to face the biggest and harshest of them all: The Void. The group has to find a way to get rid of it for good before it turns into a giant black hole and completely destroys the entire universe.
The episode starts off with Miss Wardwell reading out of a bible which tells us everything that went down as our favorite coven went against The Void. We see our favorite gang, AKA the Fright Club, getting together for a makeout and movie session with all of our big ships back together again.
The group starts to make plans for Sabrina's 17th birthday, who says that she just wants something super low key with her family and friends. On their way back home, Nick gives Sabrina a special locket that will allow him to find her wherever she is. As they're about to have sex, Sabrina Morningstar and alternate dimension Salem come through her bedroom mirror and warn her about The Void. Sabrina Morningstar dies in Sabrina Spellman's arms leaving her to mourn her other half.
Meanwhile, Father Blackwood has a plan to use the final Eldrich Terror for his own plans and is able to reunite with the rest of his body. He goes to Miss Wardwell's house who helps him out buying sewing his head back on so he can continue with his plan.
Sabrina Spellman tries to find a way to stop The Void before it's too late and ends up finding the Imp of the Perverse. This causes the Trinket Man to appear at her house who says that he is looking for the Imp. In a trade, he gives her Pandora's Box which he notes will help her in getting rid of The Void once and for all, but that there's a chance she will have to sacrifice herself because she will also be trapped in it.
Sabrina steps through the mirror and opens Pandora's Box in The Void while the rest of the coven find out about her plan and try to stop her. Knowing that she will likely die, her aunties, Ambrose, and Nick use a spell to pull her soul out of The Void and into Sabrina Morningstar's body. They're successful and once they realize that The Void has seemingly disappeared, it seems like their plan has worked.
Sabrina soon becomes concerned with things seem to disappear out of nowhere causing her to worry. As she is about to blow out her birthday candles, the cake also vanishes, causing everyone to believe she is pulling a prank, but she reveals she's not using magic to hide it.
Meanwhile, Lilith goes to Hell and reveals to Lucifer and Caliban about Sabrina Morningstar's death and how Sabrina Spellman is currently using her body to house her soul since her real one is trapped in The Void/Pandora's Box. In an effort to get revenge, Caliban uses the local miners, including Harvey's dad, as vessels for demons to go an attack Sabrina.
Sabrina faces against Lucifer and Caliban who ask her to come with them so she can die and they can give Sabrina Morningstar the burial she deserves. After giving up her magic, Ambrose tries to protect her, causing one of the minors to attack the coven. However, he seemingly disappears, leaving everyone wondering how Sabrina still has her powers if she just locked them. As more people try to come after her, Lucifer — who ends up being the only one left — realizes there is something more powerful inside of her.
After Harvey becomes upset with Sabrina over his dad disappearing, Ambrose realizes that Sabrina actually has a piece of The Void inside of her. In order to keep more people from also vanishing, she decides to go away for good and uses a teleporting spell to go somewhere remote. Father Blackwood surprisingly finds her and tells her that he is able to teach her how to control The Void inside her and they work together to make it happen.
Roz, Ambrose, Prudence, and Agatha find Sabrina with her help of Salem and discover that Blackwood's true plan is to sacrifice Sabrina to get the rest of The Void and get rid of the universe. After trying to convince her to come back home, Sabrina sends Prudence and Roz into The Void and sends a telepathic message to Ambrose to come back during the Winter Solstice as she has a plan.
Agatha and Ambrose return back home and reveal that they will need Pandora's Box in order for the plan to work. Nick reveals the special locket that he gave Sabrina and uses to it find her original body and bring it back along with the box.
During the Winter Solstice, the coven are able to stop Blackwood before he sacrifices Sabrina and she reveals her plan which involves her being cut open so The Void can leak out of her and getting everyone out before using Pandora's Box once and for all to get rid of it completely. She also notes that they can rescue anyone stuck in The Void and they make a plan to bring everyone back.
The coven goes on with her plan, but note that Sabrina is losing a lot of blood and they aren't able to hold her soul on Earth much longer. As the plan goes without a hitch and Nick returns from The Void with Pandora's Box, which is also hosting the rest of the Eldrich Terrors, Sabrina dies and everyone mourns her death.
Back in Greendale, both Sabrina Spellman and Sabrina Morningstar are given the proper burial they deserve with everyone mourning their deaths. Prudence decides to cut Father Blackwood's body into different pieces and scatter them across the Earth so they can never come back together again. After refusing to give Lilith back her powers as part of the deal of her revealing the news about Sabrina Morningstar's death, Lucifer is stabbed by Lilith using the Spear of Longinus. She drinks his blood to get her powers back, takes over the throne of Hell, and officially becomes queen again. Lilith also banishes Lucifer from Hell and sends him away to Earth, just like he did to her.
In the show's final scene, Sabrina is sitting by herself in the afterlife where she's reading a book by herself. Nick mysterious appears causing her to question why he's there since only the dead can survive there. He reveals that he swam in the Sea of Sorrows and he drowned from the currents. Nick notes that while she's upset over his fate, that this means they will stay together forever and ever in the afterlife. The two share a kiss and the show officially ends.
