Boy airlifted to hospital as three others hurt in two-car crash

An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital and three others were also injured in a two-car crash in Stirling.

The collision - involving a grey Dacia Duster and grey Citroen C4 - occurred on the A85, around five miles west of Tyndrum, at about 2.45pm on Sunday.

Emergency services attended and the schoolboy was flown to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow by helicopter.

A man was taken by ambulance to Lorn and Islands Hospital in Oban, while two women were transported to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Police Scotland said the road was closed for 10 hours for investigation works.

Sergeant Scott Miller said: "Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we are looking to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened or saw the vehicles before the crash.

"I'm also keen to hear from anyone with dashcam or any other footage of the area shortly before 2.45pm on Sunday."
