Boxing Day Shoppers Flood Sydney Shopping Mall Amid COVID-19 Outbreak in City's Northern Beaches

Crowds of shoppers flocked to a suburban shopping mall in Sydney’s west on Boxing Day, a day after the state’s Premier Gladys Berejiklian pleaded for residents to avoid heading to the CBD during the traditional shopping holiday.

Nasem Allam filmed a video that showed a crowded Westfield Parramatta Shopping Centre on December 26. In this video, shoppers are lining up in front of shops and standing on the elevators without social distancing.
