Bosnian Muslims break fast with a hike
STORY: After reaching the top, hikers rested and prayed until sunset, when the sound of a cannon fired down in the town marks the end of fasting for the day and time to eat iftar.
During Ramadan, Muslims are expected to abstain from food and drink from sunrise to sunset for a whole month and spend time praying and studying Islamic scripture.
The tradition commemorates the revelation of the Quran to the Prophet Mohammed, and will end this year on May 1.
