Bosco Wong: I paid for my own privacy

20 Sep - Anthony Wong's recent outburst about TVB's on-location hotel accommodation has been viewed with interest by the public and reflects TVB's own inability to cater for its artistes.

However, according to On CC News, TVB's own residential artistes have already learned to accept the hotel policy. Stars including Eliza Sam, Natalie Tong, and Kenneth Ma admitted that they are used to it, and even pay for their own accommodations occasionally.

Bosco Wong, who has a lot of experience filming outside Hong Kong, stated that hotel arrangements are different according to the production.

"Sometimes there may be sponsors, so we can get individual rooms easier," said the actor, who is one of the more fortunate stars that get better deals due to their star power and hefty pay check.

He added, "TVB has its policy, so I pay for my own rooms. It costs more, but the privacy is better."

Meanwhile, Sammy Shum, who travels to Taiwan to film his new series "Cross the Finish Line", defended Anthony. "I do think we need to give him special treatment, since it took a lot of effort to get him in the first place."
