‘Bored’ Haaland feels ‘deceived’ by Man City as he sends warning with suitor ‘completely obsessed’
Erling Haaland wants Man City to change their playing style to accommodate him amid interest from Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
The Norway international moved to the Etihad Stadium in the summer from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth a reported £51.2m.
Haaland scored 86 goals in 89 matches for Dortmund in his two-and-a-half seasons at the club and he’s carried on his brilliant record at Man City.
The Citizens have benefited from 33 goals in 33 matches in all competitions from Haaland this season as Pep Guardiola’s side look to chase down Premier League leaders Arsenal, who are two points ahead with a game in hand.
There have been claims from former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher, and others, that Haaland may have “picked the wrong club” in the summer with talk that the club nor the player get the best out of each other.

And now Spanish publication Nacional claim that Haaland is ‘not happy at Manchester City right now’ with the Norwegian ‘promised a series of things that have not been fulfilled at all’.
It is said that he feels ‘deceived’ and ‘believes that they need to change their style’ in order to get him more involved in play as he is currently getting ‘bored excessively during the 90 minutes’.
Haaland ‘has warned that he will not continue’ if they ‘do not participate in the next edition of the Champions League’ after Man City were charged with alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules.
Real Madrid are one team who would happily take him if he decides to leave Man City with president Florentino Perez ‘completely obsessed’ with Haaland.
Thierry Henry recently claimed that having Haaland in their team makes Man City more predictable to play against, he told CBS Sports: “We’ve seen in big games they can’t find him. If you think the other way, in big games, try to help them. We all know, when you play a big team, you have to win your own battle first.
“It’s not that easy, and we’ve seen that this year he’s struggled in this type of game. Maybe, if he does think of that, how can I help them, sometimes in some situations, not always them finding me on the second post.”
But Guardiola hit back at his comments, he said: “I would say that I understand exactly what Titi [Henry] wants to say the fact we play and we put the balls to Haaland.
“Being less predictable does not depend on Haaland it depends on the way we can make the process to arrive in different channels to the final third, not just with Erling.
“To be less predictable we need more runs from Kevin [De Bruyne], more runs from [Ilkay] Gundogan, more runs from the wingers, we need more runs when we arrive in the final third but to arrive in the final third we need the process.”
