Smoke from the Bond Fire darkened the sky near Tustin, California, as the blaze grew to about 3,650 acres on Thursday, December 3, fire officials said.
A number of evacuation orders and road closures were announced as the fire grew “rapidly,” according to the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA). The blaze began with a house fire on Silverado Canyon Road in Orange County late on Wednesday night, local media reported.
Approximately 500 firefighters were battling the wildfire on Thursday morning, the OCFA said.
