KUALA LUMPUR, July 4 — Fans are abuzz after Bollywood living legend Shah Rukh Khan shared an update on the trailer of upcoming movie Jawan, his second film of the year.

In an Ask SRK session on Twitter last week, the 57-year-old actor and global heartthrob confirmed that Jawan’s highly-anticipated trailer is ready and will be released on schedule.

While fans have been eagerly waiting to catch glimpses of the film in an official teaser, all they’ve got so far are several leaked footage and photos.

Tweets shared by industry people read that the countdown for Jawan trailer has begun and that fans can expect to see it in theatres around the same time as the premiere of Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One on July 12.

As soon as Jawan’s trailer launch date was made public, SRK’s devoted legion of fans came together to start the hashtag ‘#JawanTrailer’ trend.

Helmed by Tamil director Atlee Kumar, the action-thriller follows the life of a man who is determined to set things right in society, seeking to rectify past wrongs and fulfil a promise made years ago.

However, his personal vendetta leads him to confront a monstrous outlaw who knows no fear.

Jawan, which means soldier in Hindi, also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.

Initially, scheduled to release in June, Jawan’s makers recently announced that the film will now open in theatres on September 7.
