KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 — Bollywood actor Salman Khan has finally responded to death threats made against him last month by saying that he’s not 'the brother of all India'.

He said this at the 68th FilmFare Awards press conference recently held in Mumbai, much to the delight of all in attendance as he had previously refrained from commenting on the death threats.

When a reporter asked: "You are bhaijaan (brother) of India. How do you feel when you receive such death threats?”, Khan replied at his witty best without skipping a beat.

“I am not the bhaijaan of the entire India,” he said with his trademark swagger to a cheering crowd. “But I am also somebody’s loved one.

“I am loved by many people. I am bhaijaan of many brothers and I am a brother to the ladies who want to be my sisters.”

Khan turned up at the event with what looked to be 12 bodyguards, at least one armed, in a newly-purchased bulletproof car.

It’s all part of his heightened security measures after receiving another death threat from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi last month.

Bishnoi, who wants Khan punished for killing two endangered blackbucks in 1998, is currently serving time for the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
