Boiling Water Instantly Freezes as Temperatures Dip in South Dakota

A wind chill warning remained in effect until 9 am on February 16 for parts of South Dakota as “dangerously” cold wind chills as low as 40 below zero were forecast for the area.

The National Weather Service (NWS) warned the weather conditions could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
