Boiling Water Instantly Freezes as Freezing Temperatures Hit Alaska

Temperatures across the Alaska Panhandle plunged well below freezing on Tuesday, February 9, as Arctic air blasted the region.

The National Weather Service (NWS) recorded temperatures as low as -10 degrees Fahrenheit (-23 Celsius) at its forecasting office in Juneau on Tuesday morning.
