‘Bogus police officer grabs crotch’ in broad daylight at Hampstead Heath station

Detectives have issued an urgent appeal after a man posing as a police officer threatened a woman train passenger and grabbed his crotch in north London

The female victim was approached on the platform of Hampstead Heath Overground station at around 9.30am on Monday, March 11.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “The man claimed to be a police officer and when the woman said she didn’t believe him he became agitated and abusive and threatened her while grabbing at his crotch.”

He then left the building on South End Road.

On Thursday, police released CCTV images of a male, wearing a red cap, black puffer jacket and blue jeans, believing he may have information which could assist their investigation.
