KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- Boeing has debuted its first 737 MAX 10 -- the largest variant of the MAX family at the company’s factory in Renton, Washington.
The 737 MAX 10 can seat up to 230 passengers and offers the lowest seat-mile cost of any single-aisle airplane ever produced, and the airplane will be undergoing system checks and engine runs prior to its first flight next year, Boeing said in a statement today.
“The 737 MAX 10 currently has more than 550 orders and commitments from more than 20 customers around the globe,” it said.
Vice-president and general manager of the 737 programme, Mark Jenks said the team’s relentless focus on safety and quality demonstrates Boeing’s commitment to its customers and passengers.
“Today is not just about a new airplane. It’s about the people who design, build and support it,” he added.
