Bob Lam Chi Po plans to try alternative treatment for wife
17 Sep – Television presenter Bob Lam Chi Po recently revealed that he is planning to fly his ailing wife to Taiwan for alternative treatment.
As reported on Mingpao, the TV personality whose wife Shirley suffers from a rare cancer called Leiomyosarcoma (LMS), revealed that with the treatment his wife received in Hong Kong has shown no positive response, he has been looking for other ways to treat her.
He had since discovered that a medical centre in Taiwan is providing adoptive cell therapy, otherwise known as cellular immunotherapy, and would like for Shirley to try.
"We're waiting for the travel notice. If everything is okay, I will take her for treatment in Taiwan immediately," he said.
In a previous interview, Bob revealed that Shirley had undergone a minimally invasive surgery on her lumbar spine at a hospital in Hong Kong and was asked by the doctor if she had any wish unfulfilled. He added that his wife was very uncomfortable by the question.
