Blowing Snow Reduces Visibility During Winter Storm in Columbia Falls

A winter storm blowing through northern Montana brought blustery conditions and reduced visibility on Sunday, January 3.

This footage from @CC_WxWitch shows the near white-out conditions in Columbia Falls. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), snow was also sticking to roadways earlier on Sunday after the fresh snowfall. Snow would be “piling up” throughout much of the week, the NWS said.

The blowing snow and snowfall also increased the avalanche danger for the area. Credit: @CC_WxWitch via Storyful
