Blake Lively Owns *How* Many Homes? Fewer Than You Think
Gossip Girl alum Blake Lively is all over the news right now, what with the cast fiasco surrounding her most recent movie It Ends with Us—a romance turned thriller–adjacent drama. Recent developments aside, Lively has long been capturing her fans’ attention (all 45.8 million of them on Instagram) with her eclectic style, penchant for home cooking, camaraderie with Taylor Swift, and long-term partnership with America’s sweetheart Ryan Reynolds. That’s one full life, but where does the woman known for her showstopping Met Gala looks go to take breaks from being in the public eye all the time?
It would be easy to assume Lively and Reynolds own a plethora of properties dotting the globe—a Montecito, California, McMansion here, a Miami condo there, a London flat on the side for good measure, and multiple New York City abodes. Prepare to be disappointed, because this is far from the truth. Lively has two homes and two homes only, and here’s all you need to know about each one.
Pound Ridge, New York
Celebrities are elusive creatures, which means that sometimes the only available visuals of their homes are those sourced from Google Maps—leaving nosy admirers (us) craving a glimpse at the interiors. According to People magazine, after about six months of dating, Lively and Reynolds decided to take the quintessential step of moving in together: securing a $2 million crib in Bedford, New York, which celebrities from star chef Daniel Boulud to Ralph Lauren also call home. This home, dear reader, is not the one you see in the above satellite image.
The couple sold it shortly thereafter, according to multiple sources, and moved just a few miles away—to their presently held Pound Ridge hideaway (though its exact address is unconfirmed, the Realtor.com listing for 240 Stone Hill Road checks out). Per TheRichest, this seven-bedroom, six-bathroom property made a $5.7 million–shaped dent in their wallets, bears a markedly Old Colonial footprint, and spreads across more than 11 acres. Hello Magazine reports that it has a very unique touch—a converted outdoor barn—and insight from Redfin offers that the circa-1860s farmstead was restored by philanthropist Hiram Halle; benefits from orchards, a stocked pond, and old stone walls; and even comes with guest quarters (to accommodate the couple’s undoubtedly massive roster of high-profile friends).
From the minimal social media exposure the celeb duo’s Westchester County primary residence has received, we can also gather that it’s heavy on rustic touches such as wood paneling, warmth-exuding light fixtures, and—so quirky!—a vintage telephone booth in the driveway.
Knowing how much Lively loves to bake and cook, we envision a sprawling kitchen situation too.
443 Greenwich Street, New York City
In 2017, Lively and Reynolds must have decided that their woodsy, remote Pound Ridge digs would be perfectly complemented by a New York City apartment in the bustling TriBeCa neighborhood. Enter: a unit acquired in the 443 Greenwich Street building, which was once a 19th-century bookbindery warehouse but is now a modern gem with 53 loft-style homes and eight penthouses.
While not much is known about how Lively’s particular unit looks (even whether it’s a loft or a penthouse!), we can make certain assumptions. The building’s 21st-century redesign by CetraRuddy Architecture made sure spaces were luxurious—in the form of white oak floors, Calcatta marble kitchen islands, radiant floor heating in bathrooms, mahogany Thermopane windows, and beyond.
Similar to their aforementioned Pound Ridge home, Lively and Reynolds have teased eager audiences via brief snippets of what’s inside their apartment—in Instagram posts and stories. Over the years, for instance, Lively posed in front of or next to exposed brick walls, arched windows, a statement-making wooden beam in the middle of the living room, fluted glass cabinetry in the kitchen, and a velvet couch (good decor choice, Blake!).
Lively and Reynolds were likely attracted to the place in part due to its amenities. Who wouldn’t want valet parking, a secret courtyard garden, a 75-foot lap pool cocooned by travertine marble walls, and a Hammam-plus-steam room combo at the ready?
And they’re not the only ones who enjoy these privileges. On any given day, the couple could run into other A-Listers like Meg Ryan, Jennifer Lawrence, and Harry Styles—all of whom also call 443 Greenwich Street home...er, one of their homes.
