Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni Jokes Are Off the Table at 2025 Golden Globes: ‘I’m Mad I Even Know His Name,’ Says Host Nikki Glaser
If you tune into the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, don’t expect to hear any jokes about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s ongoing legal battles — at least not from the host herself.
Nikki Glaser is steering clear of any It Ends With Us references during this year’s ceremony, she tells Yahoo Entertainment, explaining, “I think the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni thing is such a hot-button thing right now that even a mere mention of it will seem like I could be on the wrong side of things, even though I would never be. I also don’t want to give his name any … I’m mad I even know his name, to be honest with you, so I don’t need to say it anymore.”

For the uninitiated, Lively filed a lawsuit against co-star and director Baldoni on Dec. 21, outlining sexual harassment and manipulation on the set of their movie It Ends With Us, which is now streaming on Netflix. According to the suit, Lively’s allegations against Baldoni included discussing his former “pornography addiction,” his sexual conquests, the cast and crew’s genitalia, Lively’s weight and her dead father, and showing Lively nude videos or images of women.
Talent agency WME, which continues to represent Lively, subsequently dropped Baldoni as a client. Baldoni and his team then sued the New York Times, which first published Lively’s accusations, for $250 million, alleging that key information was omitted in Lively’s favor.
“I just want to walk out there and make everyone feel like we’re in good hands, because the host really does set the tone for the whole evening,” Glaser says. “The tone is celebratory, but also, let’s laugh about how ridiculous this is with the state of the world that we’re all dressed up and giving out awards for playing pretend. We have to acknowledge that that’s silly, even though it is amazing.”
