Blake Lively brought a very special guest to a screening of her new movie.

The star’s mother-in-law, Tammy Reynolds, joined the team behind It Ends with Us at a surprise appearance during a screening of the upcoming movie in Grapevine, Texas on June 15. Ryan Reynolds’ mother was “the hottest plus one,” Lively, 36, wrote in a July 10 Instagram post celebrating the event.

“In 20 years of doing this, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything quite like surprising 2500 fans with an early preview of @itendswithusmovie,” wrote the actress-producer. “If audiences had half the amount of fun we did, we’re gonna put theme parks outta business.”

Lively’s carousel of photos included shots of her posing with It Ends with Us costars Isabela Ferrer and Brandon Sklenar, as well as Colleen Hoover, author of the hit book the movie is based on. “Bringing the hottest plus one, my mother in law @tamtam1944,” wrote Lively, was one of her highlights, as was crafting floral jeans with her costars.

Tammy, 65, has also joined her son as a special guest at previous events. On June 10, the Canadian actor-producer and his mother delighted the audience at The View, getting a shout-out from Whoopi Goldberg.

“My mom is here visiting her grandkids,” Ryan said of James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a fourth child born last year. “She said, ‘It’s my dream to go to The View.’ And I said, well, first off, I try to do what she says because you don’t know what she’s capable of. Unspeakable violence, my whole life,” he quipped at the time.
