20 Apr – Now that Jennie and Rosé have had their own solo debuts, it looks like the next BLACKPINK member to do so would be Lisa.
The news was first shared by Harper's Bazaar Thailand when it shared a photo of the Thai-born idol on its official Instagram on 16 April and proceeded to write, "This June, prepare for [Lisa of BLACKPINK's] solo debut. Let's wait and see how fun her first song will be."
However, when asked about it, BLACKPINK's agency YG Entertainment made no mention of the June release, saying only that "Lisa is still working hard on the album."
Back in March, Rosé made her solo debut with her first-ever single album, "R", which features the song "On the Ground" and "Gone". She also broke several records with the release, including garnering 41.6 million views on YouTube within 24 hours through the first single.
Prior to the two, it was singer-rapper Jennie who made the first step as a solo artiste, releasing her debut single, "Solo" in 2018.
