KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 — South Korean Kpop girl group Blackpink will be one of the last guests on The Late Late Show with James Corden’s popular Carpool Karaoke segment.

CBS announced yesterday (April 7) that the quartet will appear in one of the show’s last 12 episodes, concluding on April 27.

Blackpink will be one of the last three musical guests on Carpool Karaoke, the other two have yet to be revealed.

The girl group last appeared on the show in 2019, performing their hit single Kill This Love. They also played 'Flinch' where host James Corden shot exploding fruit at the members' faces and vice versa.

Other celebrities set to feature on the show's last stretch of episodes are Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, Tom Cruise and Seth Meyers.

The show will also air a Take a Break segment with the Kardashian family and another Crosswalk the Musical performance among other confirmed segments.

Corden announced his departure from the series last year, saying he did not want the show to ‘overstay its welcome’.

“When I started this journey, it was always going to be just that. It was going to be a journey, an adventure. I never saw it as my final destination, you know?” he said.

“I always want to love making it. And I really think in a year from now that will be a good time to move on and see what else might be out there.”

Blackpink is currently one of the most popular musical groups internationally, consisting of Rose, Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo.
