KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 — After being seen at a Haidilao hotpot restaurant in Melbourne, Jennie of Kpop girl group Blackpink has come under fire from online users .

This comes after the singer left halfway through the group’s hit song Lovesick Girls on the second night of the Australian stopover of the Born Pink World Tour recently.

The remaining members Jisoo, Rose and Lisa told concertgoers that Jennie was not feeling well and finished the concert without her.

YG Entertainment shortly released a statement that Jennie was unable to continue the concert due to her ‘deteriorating health condition’ and ensured that she will receive ample rest.

The singer herself shared a short message to fans on Instagram stories on June 13 to apologise for her sudden actions.

“Sorry I wasn’t able to finish the show. I’m doing my best to recover atm (at the moment),” Jennie wrote.

“Your understanding and support mean the world to me. Thank you to everyone who came to our Melbourne show. Love you guys.”

After the concert, Jennie was spotted by social media users at a Haidilao hotpot chain with Jisoo, Rose and their security team and staff.

Online users of Weibo and Xiaohongshu were upset at Jennie for leaving the concert halfway without telling the audience herself.

The users felt ‘disrespected and disappointed’ as they claimed Jennie also walked out halfway during shows in Hong Kong, Thailand, Copenhagen and Canada.

Some commenters accused Jennie of being ‘lazy and selfish’ for letting her fans down after they spent money on Blackpink’s pricey concert tickets.

Jennie’s recent schedule has been packed as she performed with Blackpink in Macau and Bangkok before travelling to Tokyo for a special show for luxury fashion house Chanel.

She also attended the 2023 Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of the HBO series The Idol starring The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp.
