The Black Friday bike deals are hitting more and more virtual shelves this week. The big annual deals weekend is looming and, despite the scarcity of bike stock that struck the world earlier this year, Cyclingnews is here to bring you all of the best Black Friday bike deals in 2020. The official date of Black Friday is still a few weeks away yet - November the 27th, pop it into your diary - but that doesn't mean you need to wait. With retailers offering Black Friday cycling deals already, you can take advantage by snagging a bike based bargain today.

As a roundup of the best Black Friday bike deals, everything you find here will have wheels and handlebars.

Check out Black Friday cycling deals if you'd rather browse all things cycling, including accessories, components, helmets, shoes, clothing and more.

Black Friday Bike Deals

Jump straight to the deals you want:

1. Road bikes
2. Gravel bikes
3. Commuter bikes
4. Electric bikes
5. Mountain bikes
6. Kids' bikes

In a typical year, heading to the internet in search of Black Friday bike deals would probably be a straight forward task. The sheer abundance of bicycle manufacturers and the increasing rate at which they innovate means that there is generally an abundance of unsold bikes in the world. As a result, when supply outstrips demand, bike deals become almost hard to miss. However, 2020 has been far from a typical year.

If there's been one good thing to come as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's that millions of people have started cycling, be that for exercise or for transport. However, the coinciding closure of factories meant that while demand increased, supply ceased. The subsequent scarcity of stock is still a long way from recovery and those once-abundant bike deals are becoming ever rarer. However, here at Cyclingnews, we're not just experts on bike racing, we know a thing or two about shrewd shopping, so read on to peruse what we've found today.

Black Friday cycling deals

If you're not specifically after a new bike, but you're still looking for cycling deals, then we've got you covered.

The list below overviews our ecosystem of articles dedicated to finding the best deals available. We've got deals pages tailored to road bikes, electric bikes, clothing and more. As well as retailer-specific deals pages such as Wiggle and Evans Cycles. We've even got a page dedicated to GoPro cameras.

Where to find your own cycling deals?

ProBikeKit is a stockist of huge brand names such as Castelli, Bont and Zipp. They deliver worldwide, so check them out.

BackCountry, the US outdoor sports retailer, is one of the United States' go-to online retailers for bikes, components, clothing and accessories. It doesn't limit itself to cycling though, with fishing, skiing, and even yoga in the range of sports catered for.

Walmart might be a left-field inclusion in this list - even with the Walmart family buying Rapha. We certainly wouldn't recommend a typical supermarket bike, but Walmart always has a sale on electronics, a lot of which are useful to us cyclists - such as GoPro cameras, iPads or laptops for Zwift, Garmin computers, or even some new clippers to keep your legs silky smooth.

Jenson USA is one of the biggest cycling-specific e-commerce stores in the US, and there's often a deal to be had. Whether it's a new turbo trainer, and aero road bike or a downhill mountain bike, you'll find it at Jenson USA.

Wiggle is one of the world's largest online cycling shops, supplying over 70 countries with cycling products. We've put together an evergreen Wiggle deals page, so you can get deals all year round.

Chain Reaction Cycles is a subsidiary of Wiggle and offers the same goods, with the same quality service at the same great prices. Check out both Wiggle and CRC though, as they commonly run promotions on one but not the other, such as voucher codes that offer free delivery or extra savings.

Evans cycles is one of the oldest cycling retailers in the world, it is a British company that services the world via its online store, yet retains a number of bricks and mortar stores across the UK. We have an evergreen Evans Cycles Deals page, so get yourself a deal today.

Amazon isn't exactly the first retailer you think of when shopping for your bike but, in 2020, there's little the world's largest retailer doesn't sell. As an electronics giant, Amazon is a great place to look if you're shopping for Garmin deals, or simply a new tablet on which to run Zwift.

Tredz was one of the first retailers to transform its website into a Black Friday hub in 2019, so it's safe to say they're keen on a deal, no matter the time of year.

Rutland Cycling is another British retailer that operates internationally. With deals on a multitude of bike brands and a great range of products on offer, you'll be sure to find something.

Ribble Cycles, the UK bike brand that also has its own retail store, often uses Black Friday to move on old stock. That said, there are sporadic sales throughout the year.

Tweeks Cycles' is a smaller retailer in the UK, but still offers a great selection of products, as well as discounts that compete with the best.

Hargroves Cycles is a retailer of some of the biggest bike brands in the world, and it's not uncommon to see discounts aplenty.

Cyclestore, one of the UK's lesser-known retailers, always has a number of products on sale. One of the retailer's best-stocked brands is Specialized, so it's common to find discounts on S-Works products.

Leisure Lakes is another UK retailer. With 11 stores, it's a relatively well-known franchise, and will happily ship overseas.

Halfords is well known for discounting all sorts of cycling products in the UK. We would avoid their bikes, but would happily use them for tools and branded products such as turbo trainers.

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday takes place the day after Thanksgiving. For 2020, this means Black Friday will be held on November 27th, with Cyber Monday following on November the 30th. Both will undoubtedly deliver great bike deals, perhaps the best you're likely to see all year.

When will Black Friday bike deals begin?

They already have!

Check out Chain Reaction Cycles and Wiggle, who have both launched their deals, with others expected to follow suit any day now.

How long do Black Friday deals last?

We can't say for certain, but in previous years, Black Friday bike deals have lasted until the end of Cyber Monday - which this year is on November 30th. However, each individual deal will be subject to available stock - once it's gone, it's gone. With this year's heightened interest in cycling, we expect they'll be gone pretty quickly.

Is it just bike deals on Black Friday?

Oh heck no. Black Friday isn't limited to any product, in particular, and you'll find deals on everything from bikes and helmets to coffee machines and Christmas decorations. Judging by our memory of previous years' Black Friday sales, you'll undoubtedly see deals on brands such as Specialized, Wahoo, Trek and Rapha, along with discounts across all products.

The whole of Black Friday weekend (and the weeks leading up) are always awash with huge road bike deals, cheap bike helmets, GoPro deals and more, so unless you fancy some serious multi-tabbing, just bookmark this page for bikes, and black Friday cycling deals for everything else cycling related, and we'll handpick the best Black Friday bargains.
