Billie Eilish shows off huge bruise after tripping down stairs during New York concert
The singer is touring in support of her latest album, "Hit Me Hard and Soft."
Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft tour is living up to its name.
After pulling off a massive Friday night concert at Madison Square Garden, the "Chihiro" songstress was bidding the crowd farewell when she took an unexpectedly brutal spill. As seen in fan-recorded footage of the incident, Eilish lost her footing while descending the stage stairs.
Per the video, Eilish seemed to recover quickly and continued her exit — but on Monday, the singer revealed the extent of the damage on social media.
Resharing a TikTok clip of the fall to her Instagram stories, the 22-year-old followed it up with a photo of a huge bruise on her thigh. "But literally," she wrote, adding a skull emoji to the clip of her tumble.
Representatives for Eilish didn't immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly's request for comment.
In comments on the TikTok video, fans wished Eilish a speedy recovery, writing messages like "hope she's okay" and pointing out that she isn't the first young pop star to endure an onstage injury in recent weeks.
"Why is everyone falling," one fan commented, while another shared a crying emoji with the message "First Olivia [Rodrigo], now Billie."
Earlier this month, a clip of Rodrigo went viral after the "Vampire" singer fell down a hole in her stage while greeting the crowd at a Melbourne concert. Luckily, she caught herself and managed a quick recovery.
"I'm okay," Rodrigo assured fans, who screamed when she disappeared from view. She joked, Sometimes, there is just a hole in the stage!"
Aside from earning a gnarly leg bruise, Eilish is enjoying a successful tour in support of her latest release, Hit Me Hard and Soft, which arrived in May. After three sold-out nights at MSG, the singer is next set to take the stage in Atlanta on Nov. 2. The tour will continue across the country through early December, where Eilish will end the U.S. leg with a run of five shows in Los Angeles.
Her latest run of performances culminated in Eilish's fourth time as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
