In news that is actually pretty bodacious, Bill & Ted 3 – otherwise known as Bill & Ted Face the Music – has had its release date moved yet again. This time, however, it's been pushed forward.

Fans of the cult series have been waiting almost 20 years for Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves to reprise their most excellent roles, and now that wait has been cut short by a few days, with Face the Music now expected to premiere at the end of this month.

According to ComicBook.com, Bill & Ted's third adventure will be released in the US on August 28, rather than the September 1 date that was originally announced at Comic-Con@Home last month. A UK date has yet to be confirmed.

The slightly earlier release date will give Face the Music some extra time in select cinemas before it has to compete with Disney's live-action Mulan remake, it's believed.

Directed by Dean Parisot, Bill & Ted Face the Music brings Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves' Bill and Ted back as the titular rock-and-rolling besties, as they set out on a new quest to discover one of their future songs and try to use it to save life as they know it.

Did somebody say 'woah'?

Bill & Ted Face the Music is now set for release in cinemas and VOD in the US on August 28. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
