Biden, Sunak slam 'barbaric' air strikes in Ukraine

STORY: The two leaders met on the sidelines of a G20 summit in Indonesia and both condemned Tuesday's missile strikes across Ukraine.

"At a moment when world leaders here in Bali are seeking to make progress, ongoing peace, (Russian president Vladimir) Putin is striking civilian targets and children and women. I mean it's just, in my words not yours, it's barbaric, what he is doing," said Biden.

Sunak echoed Biden's condemnation, before adding that he looked forward to working together as the UK and U.S. have aligned values and interests, which include tackling climate change and stabilising the global economy.

It was the two leaders' first meeting in person since Sunak took the top job last month.
