Biden "feeling fine," says WH Covid response leader

STORY: Jean-Pierre first read a letter from Biden's physician, noting that the president's symptoms included "a runny nose, and fatigue, with an occasional dry cough."

Dr. Jha told reporters he'd spoken both with Biden and Biden's doctor.

"He (Biden) sounded great. I asked him, 'Mr. President, how are you feeling?' He said, 'I'm feeling fine.' He said he was feeling fine, he'd been working all morning," Jha said.

The president's physician recommended Biden begin a course of the antiviral drug Paxlovid, and Dr. Jha said they expected the president would continue to see mild symptoms.
