Biden Calls Pro-Trump Protesters 'Ugly Folks' as They Honk Horns Over Speech
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden called a group of pro-Trump supporters “ugly folks” as they attempted to drown out his speech during a drive-in rally in St Paul, Minnesota, on October 30.
Biden’s comment, which came as he echoed calls from Dr Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, for a national mask mandate.
“This isn’t a political statement like those ugly folks over there, beeping the horns,” Biden said. “This is a patriotic duty, for God’s sake.”
The Trump campaign and pro-Trump media personalities attacked Biden for the comment.
Biden, who was speaking to supporters listening from their vehicles at the State Fairgrounds in Falcon Heights, further attacked Trump’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and his anti-immigration rhetoric.
