From Cosmopolitan

The Undoing reached its tense conclusion last night which means after weeks of guessing we finally know who killed Elena Alves. At first, we were absolutely certain it was Jonathan Fraser, but he insisted he didn't do it and we started to believe him - even when the evidence suggested otherwise. Then we thought it might be Elena's husband Fernando Alves, or Grace, or possibly her dad Franklin Reinhardt. Even Grace and Jonathan's son Henry made it onto our suspect list.

But in the end it turned out to be the most glaringly obvious suspect - Jonathan - who bludgeoned Elena to death after she told him she was planning to become friends with Grace.

Meanwhile, director Susanne Bier has opened up about the ending, and why we refused to believe the killer could be Jonathan.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan.com, Susanne shared, "We, as an audience, are experiencing exactly what Grace is experiencing. We realised that Jonathan was not who we really thought he was in the beginning. He has a lot of remorse, so little by little we come to forgive him. And little by little we come to and see what we actually should see. All the evidence points to him, but we want to believe it's everyone else. But Jonathan is taking the audience on a ride, exactly the same way he took Grace on a ride."

As for a season 2, she said there are no plans for one right now but if the opportunity arose she'd definitely be on board. "I would love to, but at this point in time, there's been no conversations about it," she said. "None whatsoever. So if I said yes, it would be wishful thinking, but I would like to say yes. I would like to throw myself at that beat of wishful thinking."

We're 100% here for a season 2.
