The Best Moments From the Opening Night of Madonna's The Celebration Tour

The Queen of Pop kicked off her long-awaited world tour on Oct. 14 in London

Madonna is back!

Just months after being hospitalized for a serious bacterial infection in June, the Queen of Pop, 65, kicked off The Celebration Tour at London's O2 Arena.

During the two-hour set, Madge took the crowd of 20,000 people through more than 40 of her iconic songs from her decades-spanning catalog. Making the night even more special was the fact that she was joined by five of her six children at different moments of the opening show.

Back At It

On Oct. 14, Madonna kicked off her long-awaited Celebration Tour at London's O2 Arena. Throughout the two-hour set, Madge graced 20,0000 fans with an assortment of outfit changes and of course, a trip through her iconic catalogue of music.

The Queen of Pop Reigns

Seen here in a black-cloaked ensemble, the living legend accessorized with a bejeweled headpiece as she opened up the show with "Nothing Really Matters."

Birthday Girl

Not only was Saturday night the opening night of the tour, but it was also her eldest daughter, Lourdes Leon's 27th birthday! To pay tribute to Lola, the superstar led the crowd in a singalong of "Little Star."

Lourdes joined her mom on stage during "Vogue" where the two watched on as dancers gave them their best vogue and scored their moves.

Proud Mama

The moment was made even more special when 11-year-old Estere showed off her own vogue for mom and Lola (earlier in the song, Estere deejayed!)

Elsewhere in the set, twin sister Stella, appeared during the song "Don't Tell Me."

Special Guest

Saturday truly was a family affair, as the mom of six was joined by five of her children at various parts of the show. In this sweet moment, 18-year-old David played guitar as his mom sang "Mother and Father."

And of course — it wouldn't be a Madonna show without a cone bra!

A Lacey Moment

Never one to shy away from pushing the boundaries, Madonna was accompanied by a flock of dancers — some of whom were covertly topless.

In this moment, Madonna was joined by dancers dressed as though they were ready for the ring as she stood in a powerful pose.

Mother-Daughter Duo

Mercy James took the stage on Saturday to play the piano for "Bad Girl" as mom sat by her side.

Hitting the Road

Now that she has officially kicked off the tour, Madonna is set to perform 78 shows across Europe and North America through April 2024.

"I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes of giving my fans the show they have been waiting for," she said in a press release in January.
