The Best Child Actor Comeback Stories
Everyone loves a good comeback story, both in front of and behind the camera. It's great to see an actor you loved from something long past get some well-deserved recognition after a break, so here are some of the most heartwarming comebacks

Haley Joel Osment
Osment had insanely memorable credits as a child actor including in The Sixth Sense, Pay it Forward and as a young Forrest in Forrest Gump. After a hot streak as a kid, Osment worked more in voice acting and TV through the 2000's until 2014, when he had a big year with a starring role in the comedy Sex Ed and a supporting part in the horror film Tusk.He hasn't had a juicy leading role for a while, but Osment is doing great for himself as a working character actor.

Mayim Bialik
The Emmy-nominated actress, game show host, and neuroscientist began as a child actress and is best-known for playing Blossom Russo in the eponymous series Blossom. Bialik took time away from acting to get a PhD in neuroscience, but returned to TV in a big way in 2010 when she was cast in The Big Bang Theory, which earned her four Emmy Award nomiations.

Cole Sprouse in 2022
This iconic TV twin will always be remembered for starring in Big Daddy, Grace Under Fire and the Suite Life Disney shows alongside his brother Dylan. After a hiatus, during which he attended college and even worked in architecture for a spell, Cole returned to acting in a big way in 2017 when he was cast as Jughead in Riverdale. He also starred in the sci-fi romantic comedy Moonshot in 2022, opposite Lana Condor.

Duff was a huge teen idol while she starred in Lizzie McGuire, and turned that success into a solid music career on top of it. She could have easily rested on her laurels of her early career achievements, but came back to acting in 2015 when she was cast in Younger as Kelsey Peters.

Ke Huy Quan
Quan left an indelible mark on flicks like The Goonies and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. He unfortunately started receiving less acting offers after his initial wave of success, and stepped away from acting to attend USC's prestigious film school, and work as a stunt coordinator and assistant director. His incredible supporting performance as Waymond Wang in 2022's Everything Everywhere All At Once has revived his acting career. Apparently, Quan's former Goonies co-star Jeff Cohen, who now works as an entertainment attorney, negotiated his contract for the comeback role in EEAAO.

Jason Bateman
Did you recognize Bateman on the left? He was a TV veteran in shows like Little House on the Prairie and achieved teen dream status in The Hogan Family. Bateman still worked through the 90s but dialed back the commitments to enjoy some free time after years of hard work. In 2003, Bateman's role as Michael Bluth in Arrested Development showed that he was still a heavy-hitting comedic actor. He has also more recently wowed us in a much more serious role as Marty Bird on the Netflix drama Ozark.

Rayven-Symoné was practically synonymous with Disney Channel for a while, not to mention runs on The Cosby Show and Hangin' with Mr. Cooper. She has been acting on and off while also maintaining a singing career and even working as a host of The View for a while.Since 2017, she has starred in and executive produced Raven's Home, a spinoff of That's So Raven.

Foster began her entertainment career at the mind-boggling age of 3 as a child model for commercials, then first acted at 5. She appeared in several smaller films after graduating, and was considering leaving acting for graduate school when she took the starring role The Accused, which earned her an Oscar.
