Benjamin Yuen is ready for marriage

17 Jul – Although he had been seen at several Hundred Day parties held by his celebrity friends for their babies, Benjamin Yuen denied that he is feeling the pressure to start a family of his own as soon as possible.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who was spotted at Ruco Chan's daughter's Full Moon party and even attended a special mothers-and-babies birthday event last month, stated that he would like to take things slowly when it comes to being a husband and a father.

"I believe that such a thing must need a plan. Getting married is something you can just do, but having a child can't happen overnight. You have to be prepared," he said.

However, Benjamin admitted that his grandmothers are waiting for him to get married.

"They would tell me that they want to "drink tea" from time to time," he said, light-heartedly, referring to the Chinese wedding tradition of tea ceremony.

Benjamin said that although he hasn't popped the question to girlfriend Bowie Cheung, he is prepared to take the relationship to the next level.

"But you have to do a lot of preparation. First of all, you have to discuss with the elders," he said.

Asked if he would marry in secret like fellow actors Edwin Siu and Priscilla Wong, the actor responded, "I can't say. But such a happy thing should be shared with others. If time doesn't allow, we will choose a simple way to do it."
