Benedict Wong, Amy Madigan, Austin Abrams & Cary Christopher Round Out Cast Of New Line’s ‘Weapons’
EXCLUSIVE: New Line’s horror thriller Weapons has rounded out its cast with the addition of Benedict Wong (3 Body Problem), Amy Madigan (Antlers), Austin Abrams (Euphoria), and Cary Christopher (Days of Our Lives).
As previously announced, Josh Brolin, Julia Garner and Alden Ehrenreich will lead the cast.

Pic’s plot and all roles are under wraps. Written and directed by Zach Cregger, it marks his follow-up to Barbarian, the horror film marking his debut solo outing which opened #1 at the box office in 2022 and sits at 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. Starring Georgina Campbell, Bill Skarsgård, and Justin Long, that film grossed ten times its production budget of $4.5 million to ultimately take in more than $45 million worldwide.
Cregger will also produce Weapons alongside his Barbarian producing team, Roy Lee of Vertigo and J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules of BoulderLight Pictures, as well as Vertigo’s Miri Yoon.
Best known for his role of Wong in numerous Marvel films and TV series, Wong currently stars in Netflix’s sci-fi epic 3 Body Problem and will next appear in Bad Genius, an English-language remake of the hit 2017 Thai film Chalard Games Goeng.
An Oscar nominee most recently seen in films like Antlers, The Hunt and American Woman, Madigan’s TV credits include Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, Fringe, Grey’s Anatomy, The Laramie Project and Carnivàle.
Abrams plays Ethan on HBO’s Euphoria and has also been seen on shows like This Is Us, Dash & Lily, The Americans, and SMILF, among others. Next. he’ll be seen in the acclaimed Tribeca drama The Line and Jon Watts’ Apple thriller Wolfs opposite Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
Christopher currently stars in Days of Our Lives for which he received a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2023. Other series credits include NCIS, The Rookie, 9-1-1, Fuller House, American Horror Stories, Station 19, and Mr. Mom.
