Bells tolled at Cape Town’s St George’s Cathedral on December 30 as people lined up to view the remains of the late Desmond Tutu, lying in state at the cathedral.
Funeral services for Tutu would be held between December 30 and January 1, local officials said.
The former archbishop and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, known for his work as an anti-apartheid activist, died in a Cape Town nursing home on Sunday, aged 90.
