Bella Thorne says she and fiancé Mark Emms have only grown closer as their wedding approaches.

As their wedding nears, Bella Thorne and Mark Emms are only growing closer!

The Shake It Up alum, 26, says that since getting engaged in May, she and Emms’ relationship has “gotten heightened”

“Every day we kind of draw closer,” she tells PEOPLE while debuting her jewelry brand THORNE's Holiday Collection on Monday.

“It's really like, ‘Oh wow, we're really, you're my partner.’ Let's do this together,” she says. “So that kind of becomes more real every day, and kind of solidifies our partnership more and more every day.”

Thorne and her film and television producer fiancé are “definitely very much past” the honeymoon phase of their relationship, but they are still growing together, the actress says.

“[We’re] still really learning each other's traits, and trying to get them right before we get married so that we're not figuring out all that stuff on the table,” she says. “I think me and Mark are really in our language of now, talking it out now, so we can just do it or get through it or decide how we want to feel about it.”

“Or if we need to see a therapist over that one specific topic, then we do it,” she adds.

Thorne stresses that the couple does not want to wait to work through anything until “after the ring is on, and there's a ton of more pressure to be so happy.”

“If you believe someone's your partner, marriage doesn't really change anything,” she adds.

When it comes to planning the nuptials, Thorne says things are “going great,” and she and Emms are “very excited” — but recently, wedding prep has been on the back burner while the couple works on their production company.

“All our planning goes into work,” she tells PEOPLE.

“We have not done the wedding planner yet. We haven't gotten to that stage yet,” she reveals, adding that she needs to “ASAP” because the date is set for next year.

She adds: “We're just so busy and every time we're like, ‘OK, babe, let's do it,’ we always end up doing it with work.”

Thorne does have a wedding dress mood board, however, and says she is currently stuck between two very different concepts — something “side booby” with “very silky Grecian goddess kind of vibes” and a very classic “princess dress.”

“I just got a bunch of [dress] designs back when I was on set and he came to visit me and I had this big folder … and I'm like, ‘Oh, what about this one? This one?’ [And] all the girls in my trailer are like, ‘BT, don't you dare show him,’” she recalls. “We don't even have the exact dress yet, but he was really floored by all of the dresses.”

And "floored" may be an understatement. Thorne’s fiancé can’t seem to contain his excitement, she says.

“The other night we went to Seth McFarlane's Christmas party and I was wearing this sequined, silver, kind of white number, and I walked out and he was like, ‘I feel like we're getting married,’” she says. “I was like, ‘Oh babe, calm down.’”

Emms and Thorne started dating in August 2022 after they met at Cara Delevingne's birthday party in Ibiza, Thorne revealed to Vogue earlier this year.

“It was love at first sight as the sun rose,” she told the magazine.

After about seven months of dating, Emms popped the question on May 13 at Thorne's home in California with an over-10-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring, per Vogue.
