Bell Ngasri elated by support for him to win Most Popular Comedian

11 Jul – Bell Ngasri was touched after finding out that netizens have been campaigning for him to win Most Popular Comedian at the upcoming Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian (ABPBH).

The actor-turned-comedian shared a screenshot from several social media posts about people wanting him to win this year, and expressed, "I never thought I would get such a big support. Even from people who are not from my state, artistes friends who are more popular than me, this group and that group. Even those who never voted planned to do so."

"Thank you so much. I am extremely grateful. I am still the same person, just like others," he added.

Previously, netizens took to social media to encourage others to vote for Bell, real name Ngasrizal Ngasri, whom they believe has the right to win after entertaining Malaysia for many years since he was a child.

The actor became popular again in recent years after he starred in the late Mamat Khalid's "Puasa" series of telefilms, including the movie, "18 Puasa di Kampong Pisang".

Others who are nominated alongside him in the category include Zizan Razak and Johan.
