Do you have kids? How about grandkids? Feel like a kid at heart? Whatever the case, it's time to indulge those youngsters with a drone. Modern quad-copters are crazy-fun to fly and surprisingly easy, at least in the case of this model — which also happens to be surprisingly cheap right now.

For a limited time, and while supplies last, the Potensic A20 mini drone drops to $28 when you clip the $2-off coupon. Not a huge discount, granted, but even at $30 I'd consider this a winner.

True to its name, this mini flier is small enough to take off from the palm of your hand — which it can do with the press of a button. (Another press makes it land.) The downside there is that it's extremely lightweight, and therefore not ideally suited to outdoor flying (unless there's zero wind).

Obviously anything with four spinning propellers poses a safety to risk to kids, but Potensic helps minimize those risks by encircling the propellers in plastic. Those guards also help the drone bounce off walls without damaging it or them.

Although the rechargeable battery is good for only about 5-6 minutes of flight time, the drone comes with two spares. So after a quick swap, you can take to the skies again...and then again.

I've flown the Potensic A20 myself, and it's exactly as advertised: Easy, fun and reasonably safe. So why only a 4.2-star average rating from the 6,700-plus Amazon buyers? Some of the more negative reviews include statements like, "I didn't realize it was this small" and "I tried to fly it outside and it blew away."

Like I said, this is a mini drone meant primarily for indoor flying. I'd recommend it for kids in the 8-14 age group — or any "big kid" who just wants to see what the drone fuss is about.
