Guinness Malaysia is hosting first-ever mission-based immersive experience. House of Guinness, held in APW Bangsar, is full of surprises.

Think you have what it takes to solve some draught-nting missions? It’s time to put your skills to the test and head on over to the House of Guinness — the first ever mission-based immersive experience by Guinness Malaysia. Even better, you’ll be treated to a complimentary pint of Guinness Draught in a Can; launched here in the country earlier this 2022 (as well as a limited-edition Guinness merchandise).

House of Guinness is where you can find out and explore the innovation that went into the creation of Guinness Draught in a Can; or GDIC. Made to taste like how it does in a pub, Guinness worked on a unique widget feature (a plastic white ball) that releases nitrogen upon opening. So, one thing’s for sure — you’ll still be able to enjoy the smooth and creamy experience of pub-presented draught. That’s beer-y nice!

At APW Bangsar, you will have to check in at a hub (right behind Pulp) before you are ferried in a buggy to the Guinness Innovation Lab to complete your tasks.

Designed to demonstrate the process of creating smooth and creamy Guinness Draught (now available in cans), the House of Guinness will take you through the technological advances that the brand has experienced over the years — from its birth in Arthur Guinness’ brewery in 1759 to the present.

Alright, it’s now time for your mission! In the Guinness Innovation Lab, a moving cabin in the shape of a stout can will transport you to the mission room. Here, you will be tasked with three objectives with “The Widget is the Key” as your only hint. The first mission is Catch The Widgets. Get into the zone and look your Guinness best as you put on one of the prepared caps. As the door to the next room opens, you’ll find fast-moving black and white plastic balls. The idea here is to catch the white plastic ball (the widget) — and you only need one.

For the second mission, Activate The Widget, all you’ve got to do is really just that. Place the widget that you caught earlier in a tube which will then light up as larger illuminated lights begin to rise in front of you — where it represents the 3 million nitrogen bubbles in every can, ready to surge and settle to form the perfect creamy head on your Guinness Draught. As you wait for your turn to enter the following stage, take the opportunity to get your best shots for the ‘Gram.

Listen up because the third and final mission (Release The Nitrogen) is of utmost importance. Walk into a Guinness stout can-shaped space, take a seat, and pay attention to the instructions given.  To release the nitrogen, just hit the red button labelled with Nitrogen and voila! #MissionCompleted. Exit the Guinness Innovation Lab and head on back to the main hub for your well-deserved pint of Guinness Draught in a Can — the latest addition in Heineken Malaysia’s portfolio of products that comes with a nitrogen widget.

Think you’ve got what it takes? Show up with your finest mission ensemble at the House of Guinness in APW Bangsar for a smooth and creamy experience.
