While Holly Willoughby is well loved for her sense of style, her consistently polished beauty looks have me feeling envious too.
In a recent Instagram video, the TV presenter announced a new paid partnership with Beauty Pie with the launch of a "Holly-Day" edit of her favourite hero products, including a cream blush, under-eye brightener, a waterproof mascara, eyeshadow quad palette and a tinted lip balm.
All neatly packaged in a metallic clear makeup bag for £59 but worth £147, it's a beauty treat worth snapping up, and Willoughby herself described it as "a kit good for all skin types and skin tones – it's very versatile."
One particular product that caught our eye is the Superluminous™ Under-eye Genius, a product that's been part of my own beauty routine for nearly two years for hiding dark circles.
Willoughby says, "It makes you look like you've had nine hours' sleep," and I couldn't agree more. Here's why I love it.
What is Beauty Pie?
Firstly, if you're new to Beauty Pie, allow me to explain the concept.
It's a beauty subscription service that sells luxury products across skincare, make-up, haircare and fragrance for factory prices.
The idea behind it comes from beauty mogul Marcia Kilgore, who wanted to create more transparency for customers, so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Products are sold at cost price and are accessible when you sign up to the monthly membership of £10, but if you're not a member, you can still shop all its products at the full RRP. For example, the Superluminous™ Under-eye Genius costs £12 for members and £25 for non-members.
🛍️ Reasons to buy
The Superluminous™ Under-eye Genius is an under-eye brightener that comes in three shades; light/medium, medium/deep and deep.
Thanks to my pale, Irish skin, I'm firmly in the light/medium category and I love to dab it onto dark circles before I apply my foundation. It's a lightweight, creamy texture and a little goes a long way.
Rather than get my hands messy, I like to blend it in with another Beauty Pie product – the Pro Angled Concealer Brush – which is well worth trying if you haven't yet.
It blends seamlessly to leave behind a lighter under-eye area that makes you look fresher and more awake. It also boasts luminescent pigments which is why it's so effective as a brightening agent.
You can then use concealer over the top without it getting cakey or looking textured, but I often find it's enough on its own, and it wears wonderfully with or without makeup over the top.
✋ Reasons to avoid
The only reason I'd suggest not buying this is if you're not a member of Beauty Pie.
Part of its appeal for me is the low price – it's fantastic for £12, but I wouldn't spend £25 on it, especially when there's so many affordable alternatives from the likes of L'Oreal and Maybelline around the £10 mark.
💰 Best deal we've found
As mentioned before, if you're a Beauty Pie subscriber, this can be all yours for just £12, making it an absolute steal.
It comes in a luxurious glass pot and mirrored lid which feels worth the splurge but won't break the bank.
Becoming a member costs £10 a month, and there's so many other Beauty Pie products I'm a huge fan of. For example, the Soul Providers™ Re-energizing Dry Oil Sugar Scrub for £16 is by the best body exfoliator I've ever tried, the Plantastic™ Apricot Butter Cleansing Balm melts down a full face of make-up in seconds to leave skin silky soft and the Supercheek™ Cream Blush is a super blendable formula that adds a flush of colour to cheeks.
