Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled celebrates 30 years with fundraising dinner and carnival
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 — To commemorate its 30th anniversary, the Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled (BG) invites all to join them for a special thanksgiving dinner and carnival.
The funds raised from the dinner on September 23 and carnival from October 7 to 8, will go into enhancing programme development and services benefiting people with disabilities as part of its ongoing mission to foster inclusivity.
BG event organiser and acting executive director Ivy Pua Ghin Chu, in a press statement, promised a fun family day for all who come, including those with disabilities.

“As we cast our gaze to the next 30 years, our dedication is stronger than ever,” said Pua, a wheelchair user since the age of 16 due to a blood clot in her spine.
“Our aim is to extend our reach and provide crucial support to an even larger number of individuals with disabilities.”
She added: “As we strive to deepen public understanding of their unique needs and encourage greater engagement in our efforts, we are committed to dismantling societal barriers that hinder collective progress and fostering a society that thrives on compassion and inclusiveness.”
She also appealed for public donations to ensure the success of the foundation’s upcoming events. Complimentary tickets to the thanksgiving dinner will be given for every contribution.

The thanksgiving dinner will be held on September 23, Saturday at 7pm at SJKC Puay Chai, SS2 Petaling Jaya on while the carnival will be held on October 7–8 from 10am to 10pm at Level UG, Paradigm Mall.
Highlights of the carnival include interactive games, singing and colouring competitions and treasure hunt.
