Who doesn't love a naughty answer on The Chase? It was only a matter of time before spin-off show Beat the Chasers had a NSFW moment, too.

This week-long series of specials cracked up its studio audience, viewers at home, presenter Bradley Walsh and even contestant Robin on Thursday (April 30) with a quiz answer that rivalled the "knob-headed giant gecko".

Bradley was giving Robin his first set of questions, when he asked: "In the film Serendipity, the two main characters meet in Bloomingdales when they both grab the same… what?"

The funny bit came about when the presenter revealed that the answer options were "a) gloves, b) scarf, c) muff". That last option sent the studio audience into fits of laughter, as even The Chasers tried to hold in a few chuckles.

Robin ultimately chose to go with "scarf", with Bradley audibly sighing: "Thank the lord for that!"

Unfortunately, Robin got the answer wrong! Don't worry, Bradley's fears weren't realised – he didn't have to say "muff" again because the correct answer was "gloves".

Nevertheless, viewers got quite a kick out of the naughty moment, with one tweeting: "Bradley Walsh nearly lost it saying the word 'Muff'."

Another accurately pointed out that the inclusion of "muff" wasn't out of place: "A muff is a fashion accessory for outdoors usually made of a cylinder of fur or fabric with both ends open for keeping the hands warm. It was introduced to women's fashion in the 16th century and was popular with both men and women in the 17th and 18th centuries."

Chaser Anne Hegerty (aka The Governess) got cheeky earlier this week as well, when she revealed to an American football playing-contestant that she has been described as "a wide receiver". Naughty, Anne!

Beat the Chasers concludes on Friday night (May 1) at 9pm on ITV.
