Bear Scrambles Out of Trash Container After Catching Sight of California Man

A resident of Big Bear Lake, California, thought he had a big bear problem to contend with when one of the giant animals scrambled out of a trashcan after it looked in his direction.

Frank Nicholas Pirolo shared footage of the incident to Instagram on April 21, and is heard whispering “oh my god” as the bear emerges and gasping “that was bad” while fleeing the scene.

The bear, who Pirolo playfully said he’d named “ScareBear” was, he said, “running away from me”. He added that he ran because he “thought the bear was coming after” him but “it wasn’t luckily”.

Pirolo also said, “I don’t want the bear to get in any kind of trouble or relocated or euthanized. it’s not vicious, it was just looking for food.” Credit: @7t1music via Storyful
