Barbie Hsu's mum still thinks of Wang Xiaofei like a son
26 May – Huang Chun-Mei, the mother of Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, recently admitted that she still maintains a good relationship with her daughter's ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei.
Huang, who appeared on Wang Weizhong's radio programme recently, stated that she regards the mainland businessman as her own child, adding, "I also married a northerner, and northerners have similar personalities. But my daughter doesn't want to make compromises like me."
Admitting that the two of them are still in contact to this day, Huang said that even Barbie questioned their close relationship.
"She asked me why I was talking to him. I said that although he is not your husband, he is still half a son to me. I hope he will find a good wife soon," she added.
It was back in November last year that Barbie announced that she and Wang have called it quits on their ten-year marriage. She later surprised many by announcing that she has married former boyfriend and South Korean rapper, DJ Koo Jun-Yup just a few months following the divorce.
On the other hand, Wang has been romantically linked to actress Zhang Yingying.
