“Baby Reindeer”'s Richard Gadd Shares Throwback with Jessica Gunning from Netflix Hit's Set: 'One of My Favourites'
'Baby Reindeer' is a fictionalized version of Gadd's experiences with being sexually assaulted and stalked
Richard Gadd is reminiscing about his time on Baby Reindeer's set.
In a behind-the-scenes snap shared by Gadd, 34, on Tuesday, April 30, he and costar Jessica Gunning were shown sitting on a sidewalk together, smiling and looking off into the distance.
The photo was taken on set while the pair were filming the series adapted from the actor’s autobiographical one-man show of the same name.
“One of my favourites from set,” he captioned the Instagram post.
Fellow Baby Reindeer cast member Nava Mau, who plays Teri in the limited series, left a supportive comment underneath the photo, writing: “Love you both!”
The post comes a few days after Gadd’s alleged stalker — played by Gunning in the series — told the Daily Mail in an interview that she was considering legal action against Gadd for defamation.
The woman, who the outlet chose not to name, claimed that she has received “death threats and abuse from Richard Gadd supporters.”

"He's using Baby Reindeer to stalk me now," she said, adding that Gadd was “bullying an older woman on television for fame and fortune."
Gadd told The Guardian that although he slightly altered some events to “create dramatic climaxes,” Baby Reindeer’s story is based on true stories. The woman alleged that she shared personal and physical similarities to Gunning’s character Martha: they’re both Scottish, studied law, have a history of stalking and are over 20 years older than Gadd.
“She sort of looks like me after I put on four stone during lockdown but I'm not actually unattractive,” the woman said of Martha.
Despite the comedy-drama’s accuracy to his life, the screenwriter requested on social media that viewers not “speculate on who any of the real life people could be” after fans incorrectly identified director Sean Foley as the comedy writer who sexually assaulted him.
Gadd added, “That’s not the point of our show.”
