Avril Lavigne postpones Asian tour including Manila

2 Mar – Popstar Avril Lavigne has decided to postpone her Asian tour which includes Manila, Philippines.

The Canadian singer shared the bad news on Facebook on 1 March, writing, "I am so sad to announce that we are unable to tour the Asian markets due to the continuous outbreak of the Coronavirus. My band, crew and I have been working so hard to bring this tour worldwide and are completely bummed out."

"Please everybody take care of yourselves and stay healthy. You're in my thoughts and prayers and we are hoping to announce rescheduled shows soon," she added.

Lavigne was originally scheduled to perform at 12 Asian cities as part of her Head Above Water World Tour that include Shanghai, Osaka, Taipei, and Manila - the latter that was scheduled on 20 May at the Araneta Coliseum.
