A school was destroyed in a fire caused by a Russian rocket strike in the Donetsk Oblast city of Avdiivka, the regional governor said.

Pavlo Kirilenko said a Russian rocket fired from a Grad MLRS struck and destroyed the No 6 school in Avdiivka. Video posted to his Facebook on June 21 showed the school on fire.

Kirilenko said the school was the third one destroyed by Russian strikes in Avdiivka, and around 200 had been damaged in Donetsk Oblast since the start of the war in February. Credit: Pavlo Kirilenko via Storyful
