Authorities Warn of 'Life-Threatening Flash Flooding' as Hurricane Fiona Impacts Turks and Caicos
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) warned of heavy rainfall and life-threatening flash flooding over portions of the Turks and Caicos as Hurricane Fiona impacted the islands on Tuesday, September 20.
Turks and Caicos authorities warned residents to stay inside and refrain from travel across all islands as Fiona was upgraded to a Category 3 hurricane, with maximum sustained winds of 115 mph.
