Authorities Urge Travelers to Stay Aware as Winter Weather Impacts Northwest Kansas

Authorities in Kansas urged travelers to stay aware of changing conditions and sudden visibility reductions as winter weather impacted the state’s northwest on Wednesday, January 18.

The Kansas Department of Transportation said most roads in the region were snow packed and icy on January 18 and asked people to travel only if necessary.

Footage posted to the National Weather Service (NWS) Goodland Twitter page shows snowflakes falling outside the service’s office in Goodland, Kansas.
